But to his dismay, Pastor Ado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 30th minute Fabricio Ricart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Jurdan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Aureliano Berart fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Retamito AFC's protests and gave Aureliano Berart a yellow card for diving instead. In the 36th match minute, Retamito AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aureliano Berart to maneuver through the defense. 38 minutes into the game, Pastor Ado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Flavio Jurdan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fermin Ado hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After the first half Club Atletico Banfield were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Silvio Suarez made a kick off. If Pastor Ado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Club Atletico Banfield's Pastor Ado got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 61 minutes, Marco Costante mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atletico Banfield and the Retamito AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 61st minute, one of Club Atletico Banfield:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Club Atletico Banfield. In the 64th match minute, Club Atletico Banfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Clemencin to maneuver through the defense. Silvio Suarez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Placido Theobald having to interfere. The supporters of Retamito AFC booed when Club Atletico Banfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Clemencin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Silvio Suarez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fabricio Ricart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 77 minutes into the game, Humberto Etxekopar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Retamito AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atletico Banfield the free kick. The supporters of Club Atletico Banfield booed when Retamito AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Etxekopar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Silvio Suarez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Placido Theobald tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Club Atletico Banfield walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
