To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Calamardo defense, Claudiu Uncescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ramiro Matei. The Calamardo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ramiro Matei should have stopped the shot. 24 minutes into the match, Elvio Sedeni notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Calamardo's Ramiro Matei. Ramiro Matei was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Elvio Sedeni blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ramiro Matei having to make a save.
