Eulalio Tipi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Albano Rudolfo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juan Refugio in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cayetano Cordarell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaias Natal in the 27th minute of play forced Claypole's goalkeeper Cayetano Cordarell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Isaias Natal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cayetano Cordarell was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. A collision led to Claypole getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Iker Porfirio hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgardo Loreto got free with Albano Rudolfo in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Albano Rudolfo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eulalio Tipi, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Arnaldo Isias's late challenge caught a Cavanagh's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arnaldo Isias helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Claypole's Arnaldo Isias got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Claypole's zone, David Orlondon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cayetano Cordarell came out of the goal and David Orlondon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 46th minute, Isaias Natal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cayetano Cordarell was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eulalio Tipi to strike the kick off in the second half. Edgardo Loreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 79th minute of the game. One of Claypole:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cavanagh:s goal. In the 81st minute there was a penalty for Cavanagh. David Orlondon stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cayetano Cordarell. 1-3. Edgardo Loreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Edgardo Loreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cavanagh's Albano Rudolfo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eulalio Tipi in the 97th minute of play. Eulalio Tipi scored 2-3 in the 100th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Albano Rudolfo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Cavanagh had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
