Nestor Mano started the match with the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Cavanagh's Isaias Natal slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Oscar Rafe. That made the score 1-0 after 2 minutes of play. Leonel Medero's late challenge caught a Cavanagh's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonel Medero helped the player get up and apologised. After 7 played minutes Hhhv got a freekick which was hit by Leonel Medero. After a rather tough play, Cavanagh's Cristo Ibar got a free kick in the 12th minute. If Leonel Medero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ruben Meder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 21st minute Nestor Mano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albano Rudolfo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oscar Rafe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juan Refugio in the 23rd minute. Guido Bermudez hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Albano Rudolfo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Iraido in the 27th minute of play. Saverio Millano charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Saverio Millano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Santos Kusko in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Albano Rudolfo saved Cavanagh from getting behind. When Nestor Mano came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Hhhv fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nestor Mano couldn't finish the play. Albano Rudolfo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santos Kusko in the 45th minute of the match. Saverio Millano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juan Refugio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Santos Kusko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Albano Rudolfo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Hhhv booed when Cavanagh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Refugio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albano Rudolfo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruben Meder in the 67th minute of the match. Albano Rudolfo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Ruben Meder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hhhv played a much better game than Cavanagh and deserved their victory. The Cavanagh players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
