When Tiburcio Sadurni came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the WE Japon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiburcio Sadurni couldn't finish the play. In the 28th minute, Erasmo Lehoi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristian Gines showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonio Ramond in the 30th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, WE Japon's goal looked a bit too open when Antonio Ramond came free, but Cristian Gines reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tiburcio Sadurni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Aristides Elizardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Tiburcio Sadurni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Herminio Lluc managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Chapadmalal's supporters rose to their feet, but Herminio Lluc was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristian Gines breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. WE Japon's Cristian Gines played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonio Ramond in the 54th minute of play. Herminio Lluc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Gines having to interfere. After 59 played minutes WE Japon got a freekick which was hit by Fidel Irrintzi. WE Japon's Cristian Gines played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonio Ramond in the 63rd minute of play. In the 85th minute there was a penalty for Deportivo Chapadmalal. Felipe Chuse stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cristian Gines. 1-1. In the 93rd minute, Erasmo Lehoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. WE Japon were awarded a corner in the 96th minute after Deportivo Chapadmalal's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Romeo Gergori took the corner. The corner led WE Japon's Romeo Gergori to fire away a dangerous shot which Aristides Elizardo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
