Nicanor Theobald came out of the goal and Modesto Ganix tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nicanor Theobald took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Modesto Ganix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gustavo Domenec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Flavio Oskitz made a kick off. Gavino Grabiel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavio Oskitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. If Modesto Ganix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ivan Loiola kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Club Atlético Colon's Aldo Austin tried to score from far away in the 66th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 70th minute, Aldo Austin sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Cultural's Nicanor Theobald didn't even have to move. After a rather tough play, Cultural's Ivan Loiola got a free kick in the 71st minute. Benicio Poz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Benicio Poz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77thth minute of the game Modesto Ganix who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cultural's Nicanor Theobald was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Club Atlético Colon's Modesto Ganix in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cultural's goalie prevented a goal. Nicanor Theobald made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benicio Poz in the 83rd minute. Gavino Grabiel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavio Oskitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. 87 minutes into the match, Cultural's goal looked a bit too open when Modesto Ganix came free, but Nicanor Theobald reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Modesto Ganix in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicanor Theobald saved Cultural from getting behind. After having played for 93 minutes, Gustavo Domenec managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cultural's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustavo Domenec was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 95th minute Gustavo Domenec shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavino Grabiel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alberto Frances during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Cultural booed when Club Atlético Colon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Frances didn't get a good kick on the ball. Club Atlético Colon's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
