The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Los Pibes Del Ameghino. Los Pibes Del Ameghino:s Rodolfo Mattin showed great skill when he stopped Amador Bihar:s penalty. Elpidio Gora received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Nicanor Theobald tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Severo Segio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 22nd minute, Leonel Isaio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nicanor Theobald was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Gustavo Domenec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flavio Oskitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Mattin having to interfere. Angelo Jobo hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute, Leonel Isaio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Los Pibes Del Ameghino were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Elpidio Gora managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Pibes Del Ameghino's supporters rose to their feet, but Elpidio Gora was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicanor Theobald breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Los Pibes Del Ameghino defense, Gustavo Domenec kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rodolfo Mattin. The Los Pibes Del Ameghino fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rodolfo Mattin should have stopped the shot. Gustavo Domenec fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Mattin having to interfere. Los Pibes Del Ameghino's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
