When Hermengildo Satordi came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the La Real Cantera fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hermengildo Satordi couldn't finish the play. La Real Cantera's Felix Palos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Machado in the 15th minute of play. After having played for 20 minutes, Lázaro Cordearo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malbica FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lázaro Cordearo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lázaro Cordearo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Palos having to interfere. Hermengildo Satordi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ermegildo Mirande having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermengildo Satordi in the 30th minute of play forced Malbica FC's goalkeeper Ermegildo Mirande to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ermegildo Mirande showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fermin Perfecto in the 31st minute of the match. With a little luck, La Real Cantera's Felix Palos got control of the ball when Lázaro Cordearo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ermegildo Mirande showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fermin Perfecto, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. When Hermengildo Satordi came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the La Real Cantera fans jumped to their feet. The supporters of La Real Cantera booed when Malbica FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victoriano Blai didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th match minute, Malbica FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Alonso to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Malbica FC's zone, Hermengildo Satordi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ermegildo Mirande came out of the goal and Hermengildo Satordi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hermengildo Satordi to make the kick off. The supporters of Malbica FC booed when La Real Cantera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fermin Perfecto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Hermengildo Satordi managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Real Cantera's supporters rose to their feet, but Hermengildo Satordi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ermegildo Mirande breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jaime Machado in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Felix Palos saved La Real Cantera from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Malbica FC's zone, Hermengildo Satordi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ermegildo Mirande came out of the goal and Hermengildo Satordi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Fermin Perfecto kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ermegildo Mirande. That made the score 0-1 in the 75 minute of play. With his leg Ermegildo Mirande managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when La Real Cantera's Hermengildo Satordi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 80 minutes into the match, Malbica FC's goalkeeper Ermegildo Mirande had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fermin Perfecto. In the 81st minute Hermengildo Satordi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ermegildo Mirande saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Fermin Perfecto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in La Real Cantera's zone, Jaime Machado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felix Palos came out of the goal and Jaime Machado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The La Real Cantera supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing La Real Cantera would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
