Seating: 1649, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hilario Eskuin started the match with the kick off. Simon Toli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Justo Ledesma in the 3rd minute. La Academia's Simon Toli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hilario Eskuin in the 6th minute of play. Justo Ledesma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Simon Toli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10th minute, Romulo Blanco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 11 minutes into the match, Justo Ledesma dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Simon Toli, 1-0. After 13 minutes, Adrian Rico mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vertientes and the La Academia players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 13th match minute, Vertientes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Rico to maneuver through the defense. Anselmo Iratzeder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Ignazio having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Ivan Chago managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Academia's supporters rose to their feet, but Ivan Chago was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eloy Ignazio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 19 minutes into the game, Ivan Chago cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Eloy Ignazio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 22nd match minute, La Academia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Menendo to maneuver through the defense. When Hilario Eskuin came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Vertientes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hilario Eskuin couldn't finish the play. Vertientes's Eloy Ignazio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo Iratzeder in the 29th minute of play. Ivan Chago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Ignazio having to interfere. Eloy Ignazio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Menendo, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 38thth minute of the game Hilario Eskuin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La Academia's Simon Toli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Aquiles Miliano fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vertientes's protests and gave Aquiles Miliano a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st minute, Aquiles Miliano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 42 minutes, Ivan Chago made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Vertientes's Eloy Ignazio tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Romulo Blanco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Vertientes players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. La Academia were winning 1-2.
The wind increased when Anselmo Iratzeder made the kick off in the second half. If Ivan Chago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo Iratzeder in the 56th minute of play forced Vertientes's goalkeeper Eloy Ignazio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ivan Chago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eloy Ignazio had great luck who in the 65thth minute grab hold of the ball when Anselmo Iratzeder from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivan Chago couldn't finish the play. 76 minutes into the game, La Academia's Ivan Chago nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eloy Ignazio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Eloy Ignazio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anselmo Iratzeder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 84 played minutes Vertientes got a freekick which was hit by Aquiles Miliano. Jose Javiar, 85 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 87 minutes into the match, Vertientes's goalkeeper Eloy Ignazio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ivan Chago. Eloy Ignazio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anselmo Iratzeder in the 90th minute of the match. Simon Toli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justo Ledesma in the 99th minute of play. La Academia played a much better game than Vertientes and deserved their victory. The Vertientes players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
