An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo Iratzeder in the 15th minute of play forced Nacimiento's goalkeeper German Intxixu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nacimiento's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filomeno Hegoi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. La Academia's supporters rose to their feet, but Ivan Chago was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Nacimiento's Florencio Lauaxeta slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Simon Toli. That made the score 1-1 after 94 minutes of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
