The referee ignored Domingo 32 de Otoño FC's protests and gave Edelmiro Berbiz a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Domingo 32 de Otoño FC's Edelmiro Berbiz got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After having played for 35 minutes, Celso Tabb managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Domingo 32 de Otoño FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celso Tabb was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Erasmo Fidensio went to the wrong direction when Florentino Argina was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After a defensive mix-up in FC Yupanqui's zone, Edelmiro Berbiz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erasmo Fidensio came out of the goal and Edelmiro Berbiz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Domingo 32 de Otoño FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roberto Franco was the one to do the kick off. 58 minutes into the game, Abel Firman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Yupanqui's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Domingo 32 de Otoño FC the free kick. A collision led to FC Yupanqui getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Abel Firman hit a great ball. Domingo 32 de Otoño FC's Celso Tabb got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC Yupanqui's Erasmo Fidensio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save FC Yupanqui from getting a goal against them. In the 77th minute, Roberto Franco fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Erasmo Fidensio, passed just outside the right post. Erasmo Fidensio came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Domingo 32 de Otoño FC's Roberto Franco. But to his dismay, Roberto Franco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anacleto Iraido during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some careless play in the Domingo 32 de Otoño FC defense, Jacinto Gombal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Charles Waegemans. The Domingo 32 de Otoño FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Charles Waegemans should have stopped the shot. When the match was over Domingo 32 de Otoño FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC Yupanqui throughout the match.
