In the 28th minute, Ambrosio Hotz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Isidoro Arnas during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ambrosio Hotz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Camilo Madaleno made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Genaro Rafel sent off a good shot on target. Boca Juniors Sur's Camilo Madaleno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Lugo in the 43rd minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 46th minute by Osvaldo Lugo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Baldomiro Barrionuevo was the one to do the kick off. Camilo Madaleno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Lugo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernabe Alvarez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baldomiro Barrionuevo, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. 67 minutes into the match, velez sarsfield's Osvaldo Lugo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Camilo Madaleno narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 75thth minute of the game Genaro Rafel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Boca Juniors Sur's Camilo Madaleno was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 79th minute, Gervasio Aureo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Boca Juniors Sur's Cirilo Vincent couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 80th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for velez sarsfield. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Boca Juniors Sur's goalkeeper Camilo Madaleno, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Genaro Rafel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Madaleno having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, velez sarsfield's goalkeeper Bernabe Alvarez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ambrosio Hotz. Camilo Madaleno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldo Lugo in the 94th minute of play. The velez sarsfield fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Boca Juniors Sur were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
