Augusto Cordeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guaberto Vargas, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After a rather tough play, Fortineros de la Bahía's Blas Pagomari got a free kick in the 40th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Hipolito Rubio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiburcio Quilino in the 56th minute of the match. The Fortineros de la Bahía fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. PUMA FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
