The referee ignored Fortineros de la Bahía's protests and gave Tiburcio Quilino a yellow card for diving instead. Tiburcio Quilino kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After 17 minutes, Benedicto Arias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.A.Talleres and the Fortineros de la Bahía players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of C.A.Talleres booed when Fortineros de la Bahía was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Higinio Ireno didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, C.A.Talleres's Alonzo Lopes tried to score from far away in the 25th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Zacarias Conrao charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zacarias Conrao the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Emanuel Lalla hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After 32 played minutes C.A.Talleres got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Oliviero. Augusto Cordeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedicto Arias in the 41st minute of play. Fortineros de la Bahía's Tiburcio Quilino got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tiburcio Quilino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Justino Eriz having to make a save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

A collision led to C.A.Talleres getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Marcial Sandalio hit a great ball. Justino Eriz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiburcio Quilino, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 57 minutes into the game, Tiburcio Quilino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Justino Eriz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tiburcio Quilino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Justino Eriz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 66 played minutes C.A.Talleres got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Oliviero. Justino Eriz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tiburcio Quilino's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. A collision led to Fortineros de la Bahía getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Arturo Duardo hit a great ball. Augusto Cordeiro was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Alonzo Lopes. After 77 played minutes C.A.Talleres got a freekick which was hit by Marcial Sandalio. 78 minutes into the game, Fortineros de la Bahía's Victor Papo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Justino Eriz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Victor Papo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justino Eriz having to interfere. Victor Papo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Justino Eriz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Victor Papo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Justino Eriz was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. With a little luck, Fortineros de la Bahía's Augusto Cordeiro got control of the ball when Emanuel Lalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Benedicto Arias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fortineros de la Bahía walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
