In the 3rd minute Marco Vachon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaston Cordaryal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 5th minute, Rene Ayala reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alejo Steven. The goal made the score 1-0. Rene Ayala sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gaston Cordaryal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Nisio, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Nisio came free, but Gaston Cordaryal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alejo Steven made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Epifanio Dantel sent off a good shot on target. Gaston Cordaryal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Nisio in the 21st minute of play. Epifanio Dantel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alejo Steven having to interfere. The supporters of La Banda De Carlitos booed when Boca Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodoro Maxin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gaston Cordaryal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santiago Chucho in the 32nd minute of play. After having played for 43 minutes, Epifanio Dantel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boca Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Epifanio Dantel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marco Vachon made a kick off. Eustaquio Roldan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Alejo Steven tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Vachon in the 53rd minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Gaston Cordaryal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of La Banda De Carlitos booed when Boca Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaias Hori didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alejo Steven made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rene Ayala in the 57th minute of play. Epifanio Dantel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Epifanio Dantel struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Alejo Steven didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boca Juniors. Marco Vachon kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Gaston Cordaryal made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Manuel Nisio sent off a good shot on target. If Epifanio Dantel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rene Ayala struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Alejo Steven didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boca Juniors. Alejo Steven showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rene Ayala, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Boca Juniors fully deserved thier win.
