Ruperto Polentzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jesus Lidon, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Ruperto Polentzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Dalmai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ruperto Polentzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Dalmai in the 7th minute of play. Ruperto Polentzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jesus Lidon in the 8th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Efrain Florian in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emiliano Matei prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 20 minutes into the match, Córdoba's Efrain Florian sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emiliano Matei narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ruperto Polentzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Dalmai in the 23rd minute of the match. Jesus Lidon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Ruperto Polentzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jesus Lidon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute, Edelmiro Romildo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fernando Vasco during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 38 played minutes Córdoba got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Vasco. 42 minutes into the match, Atletico Ruta 11's goalkeeper Emiliano Matei had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by German Chinto. Jesus Lidon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Ruperto Polentzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Atletico Ruta 11's Jesus Lidon got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ernesto Dalmai to make the kick off. Atletico Ruta 11's Emiliano Matei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Efrain Florian in the 62nd minute of play. After 63 played minutes Atletico Ruta 11 got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Roldan. In the 66th minute of the match Córdoba got a corner. Atletico Ruta 11's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Patricio Xabat ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Patricio Xabat got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Emiliano Matei quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by German Chinto in the 80th minute of play forced Atletico Ruta 11's goalkeeper Emiliano Matei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jesus Lidon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruperto Polentzi having to interfere. When Jesus Lidon came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Atletico Ruta 11 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jesus Lidon couldn't finish the play. In the 85th match minute, Córdoba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edelmiro Romildo to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Córdoba's zone, Ismael Illan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruperto Polentzi came out of the goal and Ismael Illan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 90th minute, Jesus Lidon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ruperto Polentzi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Atletico Ruta 11's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
