An unexpectedly hard shot by Mario Ayala in the 21st minute of play forced Defensa y Justicia's goalkeeper Tomas Mancio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Narváez were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Defensa y Justicia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gaudencio Primeiro took the corner. Melchor Ritchie kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After 26 played minutes Defensa y Justicia got a freekick which was hit by Silvio Astigar. In the 34th minute, Fermin Tanio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 38 minutes into the match, Defensa y Justicia's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Ayala came free, but Tomas Mancio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Ruperto Stephen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Angelino Txatxu was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ruperto Stephen was the one to do the kick off. Mario Ayala received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Tomas Mancio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomas Mancio made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Mario Ayala sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Narváez's zone, Ruperto Stephen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelino Txatxu came out of the goal and Ruperto Stephen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fermin Tanio took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Angelino Txatxu. Angelino Txatxu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. If Mario Ayala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Defensa y Justicia's Tomas Mancio got control of the ball when Mario Ayala tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 78th minute Romeo Rafe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomas Mancio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 82 minutes, Fermin Tanio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Defensa y Justicia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fermin Tanio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Fermin Tanio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the match, Ruperto Stephen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Angelino Txatxu. Narváez's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ruperto Stephen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. When Defensa y Justicia's Fermin Tanio in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Narváez's goalie prevented a goal. Angelino Txatxu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruperto Stephen in the 97th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Defensa y Justicia had played much better football throughout.
