In the 5th minute Jeremias Rey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carmelo Bernal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeremias Rey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aaron Goizeder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeremias Fe in the 15th minute of the match. Jeremias Fe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Aaron Goizeder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Anguil AFC defense, Dario Iyan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aaron Goizeder. The Anguil AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aaron Goizeder should have stopped the shot. Unión y Amistad's Carmelo Bernal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apolo Nayely in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremias Rey in the 32nd minute of play forced Unión y Amistad's goalkeeper Carmelo Bernal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gavino Milian's late challenge caught a Unión y Amistad's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gavino Milian helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Anguil AFC's Gavino Milian got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 48th minute, Apolo Nayely got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Unión y Amistad's Carmelo Bernal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apolo Nayely in the 56th minute of play. After 58 played minutes Unión y Amistad got a freekick which was hit by Albino Nofre. After a defensive mix-up in Unión y Amistad's zone, Apolo Nayely stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carmelo Bernal came out of the goal and Apolo Nayely tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 64 played minutes Anguil AFC got a freekick which was hit by Severino Diaz. Aaron Goizeder made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dario Iyan in the 71st minute. Dario Iyan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Apolo Nayely sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jeremias Rey in the 98th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carmelo Bernal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Unión y Amistad supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Unión y Amistad would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
