A hard shot by Vinicio Michael from long distance, 14 minutes into the match, got Eustacio Reynardo's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Stanislao in the 20th minute of play forced Mataderos FC's goalkeeper Herminio Sanson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Herminio Sanson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Brais, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Herminio Sanson was left in no man's land by his defense there! 36 minutes into the match, Mataderos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Brais came free, but Herminio Sanson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Raul Eutor came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Mataderos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raul Eutor couldn't finish the play. Lorenzo Jatsu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustacio Reynardo having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Antonio Ekain made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luis Oriche during the 53rd minute. After having played for 81 minutes, Abel Patxi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mataderos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abel Patxi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Herminio Sanson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabian Brais, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabian Brais received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Herminio Sanson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Patxi in the 91st minute of play forced Gorilas's goalkeeper Eustacio Reynardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
