When Felix Nafarroa came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Restelli FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Nafarroa couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nestor Ourente during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 11th minute, Nestor Ourente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Norumbega's Nemesio Gonzalez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Sotil in the 13th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Felix Nafarroa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nemesio Gonzalez was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Felix Nafarroa was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 20th minute. Restelli FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 21st match minute, Norumbega was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Placido Distiratsu to maneuver through the defense. Restelli FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Teofilo Kaxen in the 24th minute. Amancio Atauri kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Teofilo Kaxen was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 37th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Chorache in the 39th minute of play forced Restelli FC's goalkeeper Virgilio Abeitia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Marcelo Chorache managed to get in a good position for a shot. Norumbega's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcelo Chorache was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Virgilio Abeitia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leandro Udalaitz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Restelli FC's Teofilo Kaxen got a free kick in the 43rd minute.

In the 58th match minute, Restelli FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herminio Gregory to maneuver through the defense. Marcelo Chorache struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Virgilio Abeitia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Norumbega. 62 minutes into the match, Restelli FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Udalaitz came free, but Virgilio Abeitia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ceferino Abadia came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Norumbega fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ceferino Abadia couldn't finish the play. Marcelo Chorache recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 78 minutes into the match, Restelli FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Udalaitz came free, but Virgilio Abeitia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Restelli FC's Virgilio Abeitia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Restelli FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herminio Gregory in the 84th minute of play forced Norumbega's goalkeeper Nemesio Gonzalez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Restelli FC defense, Marcelo Chorache kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Virgilio Abeitia. The Restelli FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Virgilio Abeitia should have stopped the shot. In the 89th match minute, Restelli FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teofilo Kaxen to maneuver through the defense. Virgilio Abeitia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Abalos in the 90th minute of play. If Marcelo Chorache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Virgilio Abeitia made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Marcelo Chorache sent off a good shot on target. Marcelo Chorache scored 1-2 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Virgilio Abeitia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Norumbega eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
