The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Guido Edorta didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Evaristo Lizar went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 6 minutes into the match, Evaristo Lizar dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Guido Edorta, 2-0. Bermejo's Guido Edorta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Bermejo from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Godfredo Mergildo in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ezequiel Naike prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 16th minute Federico Ilixo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guido Edorta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bermejo's Guido Edorta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Bermejo from getting a goal against them. After 19 played minutes Federico Ilixo rounded Bermejo's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-0. Ezequiel Naike showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godfredo Mergildo, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. 29 minutes into the match, Godfredo Mergildo notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Atletico Gallardo's Ezequiel Naike. Ezequiel Naike was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Evaristo Lizar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Guido Edorta made a huge save. Ezequiel Naike took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godfredo Mergildo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Godfredo Mergildo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 42nd minute Manuel Isauro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ezequiel Naike saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Federico Ilixo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guido Edorta having to make a save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Bermejo's Guido Edorta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evaristo Lizar in the 51st minute of play. After 54 minutes Bermejo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Paulino Servando who took care of the corner kick. Casimiro Txatxu was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The supporters of Bermejo booed when Atletico Gallardo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noureddine Ménand didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience held their breath when Victor Chale in the 59th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Ezequiel Naike's left hand side. In the 61st match minute, Atletico Gallardo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulises Perico to maneuver through the defense. Victor Chale, 62 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomás Edorta during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Evaristo Lizar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
