Armando Azevedo made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Candido Hustaz sent off a good shot on target. Leonides Aznar's late challenge caught a Los Piratas De Cordoba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 26th match minute, Los Piratas De Cordoba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo Mingo to maneuver through the defense. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cipriano Nikola was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cipriano Nikola got free with Zeledon Sansone in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, los chelcos rugby's Higinio Gora got a free kick in the 89th minute. Los Piratas De Cordoba's Natalio Roldanillo got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 92 minutes of play los chelcos rugby's Leonides Aznar was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Higinio Gora fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Sansone having to interfere. In the 97th minute, Ruben Rumaldo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Los Piratas De Cordoba succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though los chelcos rugby had controlled the match.
