After 79 played minutes Gregorio Peli rounded Club Atlético River Plate's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-3. Paolo Mingo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Sendoa having to interfere. When Paolo Mingo came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Club Atlético River Plate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paolo Mingo couldn't finish the play. Fernando Sendoa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eriberto Benitez in the 92nd minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Club Atlético River Plate's goalkeeper Bernardo Chuse had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Terciero. Victoria FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
