Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Natalio Roldanillo in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernardo Chuse prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Los Piratas De Cordoba booed when Club Atlético River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victorino Monico didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Club Atlético River Plate's goalkeeper Bernardo Chuse had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Candido Hustaz. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Eriberto Benitez sped through Los Piratas De Cordoba's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zeledon Sansone. Marcos Bastian charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Zeledon Sansone was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.
