If Arnoldo Abancens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ancón's Severo Marcones pulled a muscle in his leg after 37 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 38 played minutes Campana got a freekick which was hit by Guaberto Mino. Igor Rameriz hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Ancón's Horacio Oro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gregorio Argider in the 44th minute of play. The supporters of Campana booed when Ancón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorio Cayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ancón reached it. After having played for 67 minutes, Gregorio Argider managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Campana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gregorio Argider was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Gregorio Argider came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Campana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gregorio Argider couldn't finish the play. Igor Rameriz was shown his second yellow card after 70 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Igor Rameriz kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. When Felipe Hermon came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Campana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felipe Hermon couldn't finish the play. Felipe Hermon might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Horacio Oro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felipe Hermon ran back to his position shaking his head.
