Spectators: 7217 (Terracing: 5414, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 143) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Cipriano Nikola took the kick off in the first half of the match. Cipriano Nikola struck a weak shot in the 2nd minute. Tobias Ibon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for los chelcos rugby. Campana's Felipe Hermon got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Felipe Hermon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cipriano Nikola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Tobias Ibon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 14 played minutes Campana got a freekick which was hit by Gaston Jaume. Tiburcio Birila might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tobias Ibon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tiburcio Birila ran back to his position shaking his head. Tobias Ibon came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by los chelcos rugby's Cipriano Nikola. But to his dismay, Cipriano Nikola quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Campana's Raul Ortle shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 32nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Armando Azevedo but with some difficulty. The supporters of los chelcos rugby booed when Campana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ariel Frances didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Campana getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Gaston Jaume hit a great ball. 40 minutes into the match, Campana's goal looked a bit too open when Cipriano Nikola came free, but Tobias Ibon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the los chelcos rugby defense, Gregorio Argider kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Armando Azevedo. The los chelcos rugby fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Armando Azevedo should have stopped the shot. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 59th minute, Gregorio Argider got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 64 minutes, Ruben Rumaldo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. los chelcos rugby's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruben Rumaldo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cipriano Nikola might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tobias Ibon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cipriano Nikola ran back to his position shaking his head. Leonides Aznar struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cipriano Nikola got free with Tobias Ibon in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leonides Aznar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobias Ibon having to interfere.
