But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Argoitz couldn't finish the play. Jaime Argoitz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcelino Bilbo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. In the 13th match minute, Cuchilla AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgard Chico to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cirilo Urdin in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelino Bilbo saved Cuchilla AFC from getting behind. Diego Olando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Lucas Cristofor managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cuchilla AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucas Cristofor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nestor Theodore breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 30 minutes, Diego Olando mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cuchilla AFC and the Saladillo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Diego Olando hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 32nd match minute, Saladillo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carolo Ixona to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Edgard Chico from long distance, 33 minutes into the match, got Nestor Theodore's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Jaime Argoitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelino Bilbo having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Argoitz in the 55th minute of play forced Cuchilla AFC's goalkeeper Marcelino Bilbo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelino Bilbo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Argoitz in the 56th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Cuchilla AFC's zone, Carolo Ixona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelino Bilbo came out of the goal and Carolo Ixona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jaime Argoitz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 67th minute, Lucas Cristofor made a precise shot to the right of Nestor Theodore. Saladillo FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Saladillo FC's Jaime Argoitz got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Jaime Argoitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Saladillo FC's Jaime Argoitz in the 80th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Marcelino Bilbo was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Cuchilla AFC through an amazing save. In the 83rd minute, Jaime Argoitz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nestor Theodore didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Isidoro Jenaro went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. If Diego Olando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Saladillo FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Cuchilla AFC.
