Tobias Ibon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eriberto Benitez, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. If Paolo Mingo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felipe Hermon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eriberto Benitez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Felipe Hermon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bernardo Chuse read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Club Atlético River Plate's Bernardo Chuse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Hermon in the 30th minute of play. If Eriberto Benitez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paolo Mingo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Tobias Ibon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaston Jaume kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Paolo Mingo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute, Gregorio Argider made a precise shot to the right of Bernardo Chuse. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Felipe Hermon to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Victorino Monico during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético River Plate's Victorino Monico got a free kick in the 55th minute. A collision led to Club Atlético River Plate getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Rigoberto Merexildo hit a great ball. Paolo Mingo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobias Ibon having to interfere. Felipe Hermon's late challenge caught a Club Atlético River Plate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felipe Hermon helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Campana getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Felipe Hermon hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eriberto Benitez in the 65th minute of play forced Campana's goalkeeper Tobias Ibon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eriberto Benitez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tobias Ibon having to make a save. In the 79th minute, Felipe Hermon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 83 minutes into the match, Campana's goal looked a bit too open when Eriberto Benitez came free, but Tobias Ibon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Campana had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
