A collision led to AC United getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Torsten Enström hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Major Barna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hungary's supporters rose to their feet, but Major Barna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roger Ekberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joel Lindman kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Takacs Tibor kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Antal Valentin was the one to do the kick off. An unexpected shot in the 54th minute by Antal Valentin got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Lindman in the 61st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Lindman in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fodor Daniel saved Hungary from getting behind. After 66 minutes Hungary's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Arne Alén who took care of the corner kick. Bernt Carlberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fodor Daniel having to interfere. Roger Ekberg was out of position in the 79 minute of play, and Hegedus Henrik capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hegedus Henrik really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. 82 minutes into the match, AC United's Joel Lindman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fodor Daniel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 93rd minute Bernt Carlberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 96 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Bernt Carlberg came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
