Spectators: 6735 (Terracing: 5393, Seating: 1200, VIP seats: 142) Salto 's Arnulfo Harkaitz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Americo Checa hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Arnulfo Harkaitz was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 11th minute. Salto 's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 20 minutes into the game, Arnulfo Harkaitz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nemesio Lapurdi. Arnulfo Harkaitz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After 24 minutes, Nicasio Ofelio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Salto and the Seba´s Old Boys players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 24th minute, Nicasio Ofelio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Uriel Bela managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salto 's supporters rose to their feet, but Uriel Bela was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nemesio Lapurdi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Seba´s Old Boys's zone, Uriel Bela stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nemesio Lapurdi came out of the goal and Uriel Bela tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Uriel Bela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nemesio Lapurdi having to interfere. Melchor Leoncio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Eriberto Bastia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th match minute, Seba´s Old Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Fernandes to maneuver through the defense. When Tomás Fernandes got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Seba´s Old Boys. In the 49th minute there was a penalty for Seba´s Old Boys. Erasmo Lizbeth stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Eriberto Bastia. 1-1.

Eriberto Bastia stood somewhat misplaced when Melchor Leoncio came free in front of goal and shot 1-2 to the left of him in the 55 minute. Eriberto Bastia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Fernandes in the 59th minute of play. Melchor Leoncio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Salto 's Uriel Bela in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Seba´s Old Boys's goalie prevented a goal. Arnulfo Harkaitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arnulfo Harkaitz in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nemesio Lapurdi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nemesio Lapurdi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnulfo Harkaitz in the 77th minute of play. In the 79th minute Arnulfo Harkaitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nemesio Lapurdi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Salto 's Eriberto Bastia got control of the ball when Melchor Leoncio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Salto 's Uriel Bela got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Arnulfo Harkaitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eriberto Bastia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Fernandes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Seba´s Old Boys players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Salto from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
