With a little luck, Daireaux's Bernardino Panfilo got control of the ball when Aquiles Gabirel tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 10th minute Cristo Quinten suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. 10 minutes into the game, Dalmacio Jago was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Daireaux's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mastropiero FC the free kick. The supporters of Mastropiero FC booed when Daireaux was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dalmacio Jago didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anier Guillem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dario Fliz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Daireaux's zone, Victorino Anaya stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernardino Panfilo came out of the goal and Victorino Anaya tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Aquiles Gabirel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dario Fliz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anier Guillem having to interfere. Aquiles Gabirel's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Bernardino Panfilo firmly grabbed it by the left post. Aquiles Gabirel came free with the goalkeeper in the 40th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Bernardino Panfilo could save by the left post.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aquiles Gabirel to make the kick off. Anier Guillem made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Clodoveo Oro sent off a good shot on target. Dario Fliz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anier Guillem having to make a save. Mastropiero FC's Aquiles Gabirel got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daireaux's Bernardino Panfilo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquiles Gabirel in the 75th minute of play. Luciano Gaztea was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 93rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.
