The tension between the Tosno FC and the Guatana FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Felipe Urtsin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arsenio Iruinea in the 12th minute of play forced Guatana FC's goalkeeper Adan Feliz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marciano Rivero in the 16th minute of play forced Tosno FC's goalkeeper Ramon Oliverio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Guatana FC booed when Tosno FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Frantzes didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marciano Rivero in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ramon Oliverio saved Tosno FC from getting behind. 28 minutes into the match, Tosno FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marciano Rivero came free, but Ramon Oliverio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arsenio Iruinea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adan Feliz having to interfere. Didier Deschamps hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. When Marciano Rivero came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Guatana FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marciano Rivero couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Tosno FC's Anselmo Frantzes got a free kick in the 38th minute. Tosno FC's Arsenio Iruinea pulled a muscle in his leg after 41 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 42 minutes into the game, Ubaldo Bixintxo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guatana FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tosno FC the free kick. 41 minutes into the game, one of Guatana FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Adan Feliz had in the 44thth minute some difficulties stopping Delmiro Rameriz's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Honorio Quintan made a kick off. Felipe Urtsin took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adan Feliz. Adan Feliz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. If Felipe Urtsin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Didier Deschamps struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Adan Feliz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tosno FC. 66 minutes into the match, Marciano Rivero notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Tosno FC's Ramon Oliverio. Ramon Oliverio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Felipe Urtsin struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Adan Feliz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tosno FC. In the 75th minute, Felipe Urtsin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Adan Feliz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Urtsin in the 77th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, Tosno FC's goal looked a bit too open when Honorio Quintan came free, but Ramon Oliverio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Didier Deschamps got his second yellow card in the match during the 83rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Tosno FC's Didier Deschamps got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 86th minute, Marciano Rivero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Adan Feliz came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Tosno FC's Rolando Jerrald. But to his dismay, Rolando Jerrald quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1.
