But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvano Orlo couldn't finish the play. If Esteve Barto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 8th minute Silvano Orlo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adan Feliz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anier Larra charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anier Larra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Anier Larra hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. If Esteve Barto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the match, Cadillal's Raul Barrionuevo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Guatana FC's Marciano Rivero slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jacobo Calisto. That made the score 1-0 after 25 minutes of play. Marciano Rivero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cadillal's Esteve Barto got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Honorio Quintan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Florentino Sindo kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 53rd minute, Marciano Rivero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jacobo Calisto was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 61 minutes into the match, Cadillal's goal looked a bit too open when Honorio Quintan came free, but Jacobo Calisto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Esteve Bartos short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Adan Feliz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Adan Feliz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esteve Barto in the 83rd minute of the match. Honorio Quintan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Jacobo Calisto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Cadillal's zone, Marciano Rivero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacobo Calisto came out of the goal and Marciano Rivero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Marciano Rivero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guatana FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marciano Rivero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacobo Calisto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
