The referee ignored Tacaaglé's protests and gave Marcial Claude a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Tacaaglé getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Marcial Claude hit a great ball. Tacaaglé's Danilo Hondo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Argoitz in the 21st minute of play. Clodoveo Lazcano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Freddy Tipi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cayetano Porfirio having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Florencio Dalmau managed to get in a good position for a shot. Catella Fubol Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Florencio Dalmau was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danilo Hondo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 38thth minute of the game Maximiliano Argoitz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tacaaglé's Danilo Hondo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Tacaaglé booed when Catella Fubol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximiliano Argoitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristo Tello might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Danilo Hondo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristo Tello ran back to his position shaking his head. Danilo Hondo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Argoitz in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Freddy Tipi to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Freddy Tipi got free with Cayetano Porfirio in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hernan Mambru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristo Tello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tacaaglé's Clodoveo Lazcano got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 93rd match minute, Catella Fubol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hernan Mambru to maneuver through the defense. Clodoveo Lazcano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cayetano Porfirio having to interfere. The Tacaaglé players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
