The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 7 played minutes Candelaria FC got a freekick which was hit by Zacarias Pere. Candelaria FC's Marco Macerio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ariel Eguntsenti in the 8th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ariel Eguntsenti in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Macerio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cayetano Santo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximo Fagondo in the 13th minute of play. In the 15th match minute, Candelaria FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcos Laurgain to maneuver through the defense. 16 minutes into the game, Maximo Fagondo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Candelaria FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Miramonte the free kick. The supporters of Miramonte booed when Candelaria FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximo Fagondo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ariel Eguntsenti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Candelaria FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 19th minute. Penalty! Gervasio Errapel placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After a rather tough play, Candelaria FC's Zacarias Pere got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute, Gervasio Errapel sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Candelaria FC's Marco Macerio didn't even have to move. Marco Macerio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ariel Eguntsenti in the 25th minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Guillermo Blai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute Ariel Eguntsenti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Macerio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute, one of Miramonte:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Miramonte. Tobias Guifre placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Mauro Segio struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Marco Macerio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Miramonte. Ariel Eguntsenti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Macerio having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Candelaria FC's zone, Ariel Eguntsenti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Macerio came out of the goal and Ariel Eguntsenti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Candelaria FC booed when Miramonte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeronimo Hever didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Maximo Fagondo took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Cayetano Santo to make any attempt to save it. Mauro Segio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 49th minute. Marco Macerio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mauro Segio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 54 minutes, Modesto Clemencin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Candelaria FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Modesto Clemencin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 64 minutes into the match, Candelaria FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ariel Eguntsenti came free, but Marco Macerio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Modesto Clemencin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cayetano Santo having to interfere. After 72 minutes, Marcos Laurgain mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Candelaria FC and the Miramonte players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Miramonte booed when Candelaria FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcos Laurgain didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maximo Fagondo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Cayetano Santo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ariel Eguntsenti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marco Macerio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Segio, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. A collision led to Miramonte getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Jeronimo Hever hit a great ball. 90 minutes had been played when some careless play by Miramonte's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tobias Guifre was slow to take the kick. During this time Candelaria FC's players had a chance to rest. After 91 played minutes Miramonte got a freekick which was hit by Ariel Eguntsenti. In the 94th minute Candelaria FC were awarded a corner. Tobias Guifre went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Candelaria FC's Eleuterio Lia to fire away a dangerous shot which Cayetano Santo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jeronimo Hever hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. Candelaria FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
