If Ambrosio Paul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fortineros's Honorio Nel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ambrosio Paul in the 12th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Fortineros's zone, Delmiro Weather stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Honorio Nel came out of the goal and Delmiro Weather tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Isaias Lope made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Diagur in the 16th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Isaias Sarracino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fortineros's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Boca Juniors the free kick. Isaias Sarracino hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Fortineros's zone, Cristo Lando stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Honorio Nel came out of the goal and Cristo Lando tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristo Lando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Honorio Nel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristo Lando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Honorio Nel having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Ambrosio Paul notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Fortineros's Honorio Nel. Honorio Nel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Cristo Lando came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Boca Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristo Lando couldn't finish the play. In the 31st minute, one of Fortineros:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Fortineros. Honorio Nel had in the 33rdth minute some difficulties stopping Ambrosio Paul's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Honorio Nel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ambrosio Paul, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Honorio Nel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ambrosio Paul, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ambrosio Paul in the 42nd minute of play forced Fortineros's goalkeeper Honorio Nel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Ambrosio Paul's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 54thth minute, Honorio Nel skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 57th minute Cristo Lando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Honorio Nel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute, Boca Juniors's Cristo Lando ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Honorio Nel. Honorio Nel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. In the 65th minute of the match, Ambrosio Paul got a very nice opportunity to score, but Honorio Nel was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Boca Juniors's Isaias Lope played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebio Montay in the 68th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Eusebio Montay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Isaias Lope was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. In the 72nd minute, Boca Juniors's Cristo Lando dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Ambrosio Paul who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Honorio Nel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Isaias Lope made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Diagur in the 80th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Fortineros's goalkeeper Honorio Nel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ambrosio Paul. 91 minutes into the match, Fortineros's goal looked a bit too open when Cristo Lando came free, but Honorio Nel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Cristo Lando took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Honorio Nel to make any attempt to save it. The Fortineros fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Boca Juniors were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
