In the 39th minute, Cayetano Jeraldo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Albino Alonso might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Augusto Rico. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Albino Alonso ran back to his position shaking his head. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Albino Alonso to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Albino Alonso kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Augusto Rico. That made the score 0-1 in the 52 minute of play. In the 57th minute of the match, Albino Alonso tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Augusto Rico saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Augusto Rico took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albino Alonso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gilberto Telmo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geronimo Qwinton having to interfere. Tobatirenda AFC's Augusto Rico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albino Alonso in the 67th minute of play. Cayetano Jeraldo hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. If Gilberto Telmo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albino Alonso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee ignored Tobatirenda AFC's protests and gave Higinio Odon a yellow card for diving instead. Higinio Odon kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. The Tobatirenda AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Pampita were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
