When Gilberto Telmo came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Tobatirenda AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilberto Telmo couldn't finish the play. Jacobo Gonchan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Telmo in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rd minute, Vladimiro Suarez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tobatirenda AFC's Augusto Rico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Papo in the 30th minute of play. If Silvano Eztebe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Diego Papo to strike the kick off in the second half. Silvano Eztebe took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Augusto Rico. Augusto Rico dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 57th minute, Lucio Oroitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santiago Lopez's late challenge caught a CURAHEE FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Santiago Lopez helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th minute, Santiago Lopez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 68th minute of the match Gaudencio Martinez shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Augusto Rico showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Bernardino Galoer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tobatirenda AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardino Galoer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The referee showed Vladimiro Suarez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Tobatirenda AFC booed when CURAHEE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vladimiro Suarez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th match minute, CURAHEE FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaudencio Martinez to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Telmo in the 80th minute of play forced CURAHEE FC's goalkeeper Jacobo Gonchan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilberto Telmo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Gonchan having to interfere. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tobatirenda AFC's goalkeeper Augusto Rico, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The long shot by Santiago Lopez in the 93rd minute really tested Jacobo Gonchan's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Silvano Eztebe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Rico having to interfere. Tobatirenda AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
