In the 30th match minute, Deportivo Villa Paez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isidro Salomone to maneuver through the defense. Natalio Javiero took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tiburcio Millrick. Deportivo Villa Paez's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Sportivo La Candela's Constantino Ignazio got a free kick in the 34th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Bernabe Bonadona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Felix Dantae had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiburcio Millrick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Dantae, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Arnaldo Oliverio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Everardo Sauveur read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 60 minutes, Tiburcio Millrick successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 65 minutes into the game, one of Deportivo Villa Paez:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Natalio Javiero shot the penalty kick right outside the post. When Arnaldo Oliverio came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Deportivo Villa Paez fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnaldo Oliverio couldn't finish the play. In the 77th minute Arnaldo Oliverio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Everardo Sauveur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arnaldo Oliverio in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Everardo Sauveur saved Sportivo La Candela from getting behind. Mario Pancho kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Arnaldo Oliverio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Villa Paez's Roman Llorenc got a free kick in the 90th minute. Natalio Javiero, 91 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When Arnaldo Oliverio came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Deportivo Villa Paez fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnaldo Oliverio couldn't finish the play. When Horacio Venceslao fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Villa Paez's protests and gave Horacio Venceslao a yellow card for diving instead. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
