After having played for 16 minutes, Diego Ramond managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Belgrano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diego Ramond was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ignacio Bermudo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Gimnasia y Facón - L. P.'s Freddy Egoi in the 24th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Ignacio Bermudo was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Belgrano through an amazing save. Ignacio Bermudo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Freddy Egoi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 25 minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Jaime Arnau ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ignacio Bermudo was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Ignacio Bermudo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddy Egoi in the 39th minute of play. Belgrano's Ignacio Bermudo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Belgrano from getting a goal against them. In the 43rd minute Freddy Egoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignacio Bermudo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eliseo Rainerio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Librado, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Martin Librado to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Belgrano's zone, Freddy Egoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ignacio Bermudo came out of the goal and Freddy Egoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jaime Arnau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ignacio Bermudo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Bortzaioriz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the match, Jaime Arnau notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Belgrano's Ignacio Bermudo. Ignacio Bermudo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Diego Ramond sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the referee ended the match the Gimnasia y Facón - L. P. players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
