Belgrano's Ignacio Bermudo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Federico Jago in the 39th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Boca Unidos's zone, Diego Ramond stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Sengrat came out of the goal and Diego Ramond tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Diego Ramond might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marco Sengrat. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Diego Ramond ran back to his position shaking his head. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Federico Jago was the one to do the kick off. Marco Sengrat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Librado in the 54th minute of play. Wilfredo Santiago was shown his second yellow card after 55 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. When Diego Ramond came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Belgrano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego Ramond couldn't finish the play. In the 60th match minute, Club Atlético Boca Unidos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Federico Jago to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Librado in the 83rd minute of play forced Club Atlético Boca Unidos's goalkeeper Marco Sengrat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martin Rivas kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Marco Sengrat didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Diego Ramond went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Belgrano fully deserved thier win.
