Armando Criston hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. The supporters of Los Pecados Capitales booed when HDP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enzo Vela didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reynaldo Roano was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 12th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Madaleno in the 14th minute of play forced Los Pecados Capitales's goalkeeper Rafael Urko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the match, HDP's goalkeeper Gabriel Playo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alonzo Chorache. 20 minutes into the match, Los Pecados Capitales's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Madaleno came free, but Rafael Urko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gabriel Playo made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Alonzo Chorache sent off a good shot on target. Rene Ricart did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Gabriel Playo 30 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute Rodrigo Madaleno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Urko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gabriel Playo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alonzo Chorache in the 41st minute. After some careless play in the Los Pecados Capitales defense, Rodrigo Madaleno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rafael Urko. The Los Pecados Capitales fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rafael Urko should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, HDP's Diego Inautzi got a free kick in the 47th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rodrigo Madaleno was the one to do the kick off. When Manuel Checa fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored HDP's protests and gave Manuel Checa a yellow card for diving instead. Manuel Checa kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. After 54 played minutes, Los Pecados Capitales's Reynaldo Roano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gabriel Playo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Los Pecados Capitales reached it. 59 minutes into the game, HDP's Diego Inautzi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rafael Urko made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Alonzo Chorache recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Los Pecados Capitales's Rene Ricart in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye HDP's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Los Pecados Capitales's zone, Rodrigo Madaleno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Urko came out of the goal and Rodrigo Madaleno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to HDP getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Manuel Checa hit a great ball. 86 minutes into the match, Los Pecados Capitales's Reynaldo Roano broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 88th minute, Alonzo Chorache got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Diego Inautzi managed to get in a good position for a shot. HDP's supporters rose to their feet, but Diego Inautzi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafael Urko breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The HDP players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
