Leones's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cachueta FC the free kick. A collision led to Leones getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Severo Chuan hit a great ball. Alejandro Omero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Jimeno Berto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leones's Tomás Carlomagno got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benicio Eyague received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Adan Pitin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 18 minutes into the game, Victorio Inge was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cachueta FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Leones the free kick. Victorio Inge kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. When Astor Barbosa fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cachueta FC's protests and gave Astor Barbosa a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Cachueta FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Astor Barbosa hit a great ball. Arsenio Dimo didn't quite understand what happened when in the 22 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Nestor Gilabert hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Jimeno Berto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victorio Inge, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Jimeno Berto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victorio Inge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute of the match Cachueta FC got a corner. Leones's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Astor Barbosa ran over to the corner to take the kick. Adan Pitin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Carlomagno in the 43rd minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leandro Pereyra to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Leones's goal looked a bit too open when Victorio Inge came free, but Jimeno Berto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benicio Eyague's late challenge caught a Cachueta FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benicio Eyague helped the player get up and apologised. After 58 played minutes Leones got a freekick which was hit by Benicio Eyague. Jimeno Berto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victorio Inge in the 62nd minute of play. Alejandro Omero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimeno Berto having to interfere. When Benicio Eyague was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 68 minutes had been played. In the 69th minute, Benicio Eyague hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 70 minutes into the match, Cachueta FC's Astor Barbosa broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 72nd minute Victorio Inge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimeno Berto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Leandro Pereyra fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
