Julian Leobardo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Christian Basajaun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victor Salvatore struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Robustiano Sidro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Drogones FC. In the 10th minute, Jeremias Macias made a precise shot to the right of Julian Leobardo. Drogones FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Victor Salvatore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Robustiano Sidro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute Prospero Frutos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julian Leobardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Pichota AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jorge Ruy fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Martin Opilano might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julian Leobardo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Martin Opilano ran back to his position shaking his head. Julian Leobardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Opilano in the 26th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Drogones FC's Victor Salvatore slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Robustiano Sidro. That made the score 1-2 after 28 minutes of play. If Prospero Frutos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Prospero Frutos sped through Drogones FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julian Leobardo. When Nicasio Quirze fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pichota AFC's protests and gave Nicasio Quirze a yellow card for diving instead. 41 minutes into the match, Pichota AFC's goalkeeper Robustiano Sidro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorge Ruy. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Prospero Frutos in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julian Leobardo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Julian Leobardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremias Macias, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. If Victor Salvatore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

In the 54th minute Christian Basajaun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julian Leobardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victor Salvatore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Robustiano Sidro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 64 minutes into the game, Camilo Senon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Drogones FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pichota AFC the free kick. Robustiano Sidro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Ruy, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. If Victor Salvatore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Prospero Frutos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julian Leobardo having to interfere. Julian Leobardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prospero Frutos, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Julian Leobardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremias Macias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julian Leobardo made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Prospero Frutos sent off a good shot on target. Pichota AFC played a much better game than Drogones FC and deserved their victory. The Drogones FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
