The crowd rose to their feet as Dante Garci kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Romeo Txindoki. That made the score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. In the 15th minute, Lino Berasko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 17 minutes, Edelmiro Baleren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Pescado Rabioso and the Tortugas players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Deportivo Pescado Rabioso getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Edelmiro Baleren hit a great ball. Fabian Magdaleno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeledon Tabor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lino Berasko kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. 26 minutes in the game, Nereo Mero dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Fabian Magdaleno stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Octavio Dabi's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nereo Mero to make the kick off. After 54 played minutes Deportivo Pescado Rabioso got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Rius. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Pescado Rabioso's Lino Berasko got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 57th minute, Zeledon Tabor fired a really elegant long shot, but Fabian Magdaleno threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Lino Berasko hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. When Baltasar Iratze fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Pescado Rabioso's protests and gave Baltasar Iratze a yellow card for diving instead. After 71 played minutes Deportivo Pescado Rabioso got a freekick which was hit by Baltasar Iratze. Lino Berasko kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. 83 minutes into the game, one of Deportivo Pescado Rabioso:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Tortugas a penalty, 85 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Zeledon Tabor, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Deportivo Pescado Rabioso's Fabian Magdaleno. 1-1. Romeo Txindoki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baltasar Iratze in the 88th minute of play. The supporters of Deportivo Pescado Rabioso booed when Tortugas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Jokin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albino Bernaldo, 90 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Octavio Dabi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Fabian Magdaleno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
