The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sixto Luzaide took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eloy Osmundo. Eloy Osmundo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 23rd minute Alvaro Edwardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severo Otoniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute, Arsenio Salvidor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Talita FC's Severo Otoniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvaro Edwardo in the 30th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvaro Edwardo in the 33rd minute of play forced Talita FC's goalkeeper Severo Otoniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Talita FC's Severo Otoniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvaro Edwardo in the 35th minute of play. After 38 minutes, Roberto Rameriz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gavilán and the Talita FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Talita FC booed when Gavilán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Rameriz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Gavilán defense, Sixto Luzaide kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eloy Osmundo. The Gavilán fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eloy Osmundo should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sixto Luzaide to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benigno Maju got free with Eloy Osmundo in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 54 played minutes Gavilán got a freekick which was hit by Dario Honrio. Severo Otoniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camilo Paul in the 73rd minute of play. Arsenio Salvidor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Osmundo having to interfere. Alvaro Edwardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Severo Otoniel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roberto Rameriz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Gavilán booed when Talita FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florencio Heriberto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benigno Maju received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Eloy Osmundo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eloy Osmundo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benigno Maju went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. The Gavilán supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Talita FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Talita FC.
