The audience was convinced that Romulo Demesio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gualterio Fonda was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Matadores FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Triunvirato the free kick. Aldo Txomin got his second yellow card in the match during the 33rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Matadores FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. After a defensive mix-up in Triunvirato's zone, Romulo Demesio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gualterio Fonda came out of the goal and Romulo Demesio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Triunvirato defense, Romulo Demesio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gualterio Fonda. The Triunvirato fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gualterio Fonda should have stopped the shot. If Romulo Demesio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The Triunvirato players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
