Teofilo Burni showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Lino Senin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but David Giraldo made a huge save. Anacleto Matro took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Haroldo Lidon. Haroldo Lidon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Javier Che kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. The supporters of VIZCACHA FULBO booed when Boca Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blas Galtero didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Remigio Bernad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Remigio Bernad struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Haroldo Lidon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boca Juniors. VIZCACHA FULBO's Haroldo Lidon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Vargas in the 37th minute of play. Remigio Bernad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Boca Juniors's David Giraldo got control of the ball when Lino Senin tried to sneak it across the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Narciso Haitz came free, but David Giraldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anacleto Matro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Haroldo Lidon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play.
