Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Clodoveo Beliran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pascual Dorio having to interfere. In the 39th minute Clodoveo Beliran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pascual Dorio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clodoveo Beliran did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Pascual Dorio 42 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
