The referee ignored Belgrano's protests and gave Carlos Sabino a yellow card for diving instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Oscar Tadzio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gaston Bertin. That made the score 1-0 in the 22 minute of play. Carlos Sabino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Angel Lamberto having to make a save. Carlos Sabino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Ciudacita FC's Serafino Distiratsu got a free kick in the 44th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ciudacita FC's zone, Abelardo Tajo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angel Lamberto came out of the goal and Abelardo Tajo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Belgrano's Gaston Bertin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelino Hori in the 61st minute of play. Carlos Sabino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Carlos Sabino came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Belgrano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Sabino couldn't finish the play. In the 82nd minute, Oscar Liberto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carlos Sabino struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Angel Lamberto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Belgrano. In the 95th match minute, Belgrano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matias Errapel to maneuver through the defense. Ciudacita FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Belgrano had controlled the match.
